My company is struggling to hire Warehouse workers and I love to hear it

Obviously my company will remain nameless. Imagine a large publicly traded company that does not give enough of a shit about their employees. Every couple days a week I'm on a call with some of the people that work at our fulfilment centers and I hear the same thing week over week. “We cannot hire enough to meet attrition of last week”. “People haven't learned what's its like to be part of the ______ Family”- I had a chuckle when I heard this one. ” Only a handful of people showed up to this weeks orientation”. And of course the real kicker “there are other warehouses near by offering higher pay anywhere from $2-$8 more an hour”. No one has brought up the idea of maybe, just maybe, our warehouse employees should make more? Idk that seems like an easy way to keep labor. But I love to see our…

But I love to see our warehouses struggle to hire because people are going to places that offer more. I dont think this has had enough of an impact yet, but come this holiday season if labor is still short like this, oh baby will things get juicy.
