My coworker randomly said something bizarre to me today

I am 26 year old and am 5 months into my new job. I work in HR myself, but am wondering if I’m overreacting since it just so unexpected and bizarre. Am I reading into this wrong? I sit 4 offices down (we literally have fishbowl glass offices. I hate them.) from this older lady who works in accounting who’s like 60 and been with the company for 30 years. She can see into my office all the time. Anyone can see into anyones office at any time, but I decide not to look around and watch other people? I sit 4 offices down (we literally have fishbowl glass offices. I hate them.) from this older lady who works in accounting who’s like 60 and been with the company for 30 years. She can see into my office all the time. Anyone can see into anyones office at any time, but I decide not to look around and watch other people?

As embarrassing as it is, when I’m on my period, I spend up to 10 minutes a day in the bathroom just due to debilitating cramps from endometriosis (my company won’t let us work from home and I’m afraid to call out sick every month). I have to be on the toilet. I know everyone there probably thinks I’m taking a huge shit (lol) but honestly it’s really embarrassing. It’s embarrassing even talking about it.

Well, today was one of those days. That older accounting lady, who I’ve exchanged maybe 20 words with my entire time there, came into the bathroom as I was coming out and said “helloooooo. You came out of your cave, didn’t you?” Wtf? I had no idea what to say back to that. My immediate thought was she’s making fun of me for spending so much time in the bathroom at one time.

I texted my husband after and said “I wouldn’t take it personally, she’s probably just referring to how you all work in individual offices, not that”, but I just don’t think so. Am I being ridiculous? It kind of hurt my feelings. I may just be overreacting. I kind of am leaning of the side of not liking this job sadly, and this isn’t helping.
