I've been working for a small network instalation company for 4-5 months now, and it has been the worst job I've had.
I've been threatened multiple times after messing up on tasks. After being left alone with no explanation on how to do the task.
After the death of a loved one, the project manager tells me how disappointed he is that I didn't complete every task while my foreman was gone.
New hires are getting paid more than I am at the same skill level.
And the last thing that ticks me off is that I'm constantly away from home. I've been stuck on this site for 7 weeks when they told me the max I'd be out was 4.
I've vented my frustration to my family, but they just respond, “oh give it a year” or, “it's easier to find a job when you have a job.” I don't disagree with, but I can't go to interviews when I'm 8 hours away from home.
Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should do?
