Antiwork

My daughter’s speech therapist told me she wouldn’t be available in person for two weeks while she goes out of state to take care of her mom, who was in a severe car accident, but that we may be able to meet over video. I told her that is unacceptable . . .

because taking care of her family member should be her main priority. ‎ Apparently while they were on vacation (she was unavailable the last two weeks, but everyone deserves vacations) her mother broke both her legs, plus a bunch of other bones and needs help doing pretty much anything. She said that some states allow you to see patients over video while out of state but that it's a matter of licensing so it may not work out. It's sad that she felt like she had to reassure me that she's trying her best to make it work when she is obviously stressed about the whole situation.
