I've been seeing people post their Employee Appreciation Week gifts, so I thought I'd contribute. On the first day of the week, everyone got a small bag of candy. They also catered pizza and someone brought homemade brownies.
What did I get for the rest of the week? Nothing. I stayed home. Why? That was the only day of the week I was on the schedule. My place of employment keeps cutting hours because “sales aren't being met” and I have half a mind to think they're intentionally targeting me. I was supposed to go in today for a shift I picked up and I got a text from my manager saying not to because they “had to cut more hours” and they took me off the schedule.
