So, I've just called in sick for two days and my employeer wished me to get well soon. IN the same message however, I was offered to work on a couple of things from home “if I'd like to” and we'd be handling it as a normal work day. (I am from germany, so sick days are paid anyways by our health insurence).
It's not like there's other things in life than that 9-5 to which I need to commute a total of 3 hours 5 times a week, because my employeer doesn't like, and won't allow me to do, home office.
“Sure thing boss, I'd love to do nothing but whatever your dumb ass wishes for each and every day. I have no hopes and dreams of my own anyway”
It's not that I hate my job, but there's a point where I gotta say, that my own life's worth more than whatever he tries to put up on me. If I've got the time, I won't be working for my 11/h a day job, but do everything I can to get my side hussle to work out for me, making me able to quit my current job.
It was hard enough convincing my employeer that me arriving 30 minutes earlier every day because the train is either too early or too late, should give me the benefit of leaving 30 minutes earlier, instead of me fucking wasting 30 minutes on social media or on the phone playing games. Like hell will I start 30 minutes early every day just to be rewarded with “everybody starts and ends their shift at the same time”-bullshit.
