I've emailed requesting pay, but they can't make payroll. I was emailed back stating that they would try to pay me one check next payday, and try to get me more checks as they have business come in.
They aren't trying to be malicious and I left on good terms, but I do need those paychecks.
What resources do I have? I would prefer not to get tied up in lengthy legal battles and all that, if possible. I was told to report them… but… to who? I'm in Texas, USA. Who do I report them to? They aren't doing the right thing by operating the way they are. I want to do what's right, and get paid for the work I did.
I didn't know where else to post this, so if it doesn't belong here, please point me in the right direction, at least.
