So I 20(f) have worked for a well known retail chain for a couple of years and have been tossed around allot. There was a point where I was sexually harassed and they “handled” it by talking to the guy and having him quit. He wasn't banned just quit. I stayed for the stability and was taken advantage of because of familial issues and had two days off basically the only thing I asked for. This past year I had a bouncing schedule and made it clear I just wanted two days off at the very least, my boss these past few months have called me in almost every week only giving me one. I asked a few weeks ago after I was only being scheduled off one day instead of two if I could get them together so I'd have a balanced work and home life and he said it wouldn't be fair. Even though this I pushed through it and considered quitting I then realized he considered everyone else's schedule and refused to listen to mine because I wouldn't argue. After I put my two weeks In he told me that another coworker was stressed and he tried to give her another day off after having two together. But it's unfair for me to because other are in college and ask for Sundays off for football.
Tldr, all bosses have their own interests even if they claim to care about you.
