My former employer filed a restraining order on me after not paying me for a month? What recourse do I have? (Texas)

I started working for this employer about two months ago, and left after a month due to the owner’s severe anger issues. I was owed a paycheck of around 8-900 dollars for the two weeks I had worked prior to quitting. Upon calling the employer and inquiring, I was told a check would be in the mail. Well, two weeks later, and there’s still no check. I start making calls and every time I’m sent down a rabbit hole of people they promise are going to call me, and never do. Today, I had enough. I emailed the owner and informed him that I have waited long enough to be made whole, and will be up there tomorrow with the authorities. He responded by calling me irresponsible and informing me he had filed a restraining order against me. What is my best course of action.
