I found out at 4pm. Its 4:51 pm. I got a “I'm sorry your grandma died but we don't have anyone to cover.” Not sure if it matters but I record all my phone calls (single party consent state for recordings). Edit: To anyone saying I should just quit, I can't afford to miss the paycheck (moreso that I can't afford to get fired if/when they would retaliate if I left.)
