They asked me to order exams on behalf of physicians while I am not a doctor. Those patients are coming from another hospital even our own doctors refused to order exams for them without doing their own check up on the patients. The management refused and sent the patients right to our department without checking them with our own doctors. They even refused to get proper orders from those patients primary care doctors. Its a dangerous and illegal request. My coworkers accepted doing that while complaining how its not right. I told my management that I can’t do that I am not a doctor to order exams its outside my scope of practice. They got mad and texted me and requested that I come for a “disciplinary” meeting on my day off. I emailed them and said I resign.
