My job has figured out the “nobody wants to work” dilemma by working with a temp agency, and I’m certain I’m training my replacement.

The place I work at has had problems with hiring employees, especially for those in the driver position (non-cdl). Despite 1/3 of our drivers quitting, they have yet to figure a way to hire new drivers who will be willing to lift heavy furniture for less than working at Amazon. They've been experimenting with hiring Temps as helpers, but recently, they hired 3 new Temps being trained to drive. This is exactly the number of drivers on the “Final Mile” team. We get paid by the stop, and our per hour payee comes up to much more than the other drivers. It pays the bills. However, these new drivers will be paid hourly exclusively but will not be given health insurance, not be paid the bonus, and obviously, if fired, they won't have to be paid unemployment.
