My job hasn’t let me work in a week now.

Just wondering if I have something here. I've been applying to different jobs every day because I'm fairly certain I'm not coming back one way or another. First thing I need to get out of the way is that I was hired through a temp service and it's right around the time that my 3 month agreement is up. However there are many “temp” employees who have worked there for almost two years now. It's a shitty soap manufacturing warehouse and it's the most mundane shit I've ever done. I'm not exactly devastated emotionally that I haven't been back in a week, but I stuck around for as long as I did because it paid well and I was catching up on the financial hole I dug myself into pretty rapidly. As soon as I'm out of the hole is when this problem started happening. They text me every single…

They text me every single morning telling me I am off the schedule due to “low production.” I have called 3 separate days asking me when they are able to work me in. This morning I made sure they are aware that I now haven't worked in a full week and they keep giving me the same excuse that it's not in their hands.

They won't outright fire me. And I've given them no reason to. My instinct is that they're trying to get me to quit in fear of me collecting unemployment. That's about all I have to say on this matter. Not worth name dropping because this place is bound to go out of business at any point. The first day I worked they changed my hours because they outright deleted third shift with no warning to anyone. And they've attempted to ship off moldy product to save money until the words “health department” were brought up by fellow employees. (I don't have proof I can personally bring to them. I should have taken pictures.)

How would you handle this? I'm definitely not telling them I'm quitting. If nothing else if I already have a new job lined up and they eventually call me back in I'm just gonna ghost them. But I'm also wondering if there's another way to approach this and I figured you guys would be just the sub to turn to.

(Hi Jordan.)
