I used to work delivery at a pizza place in New York City. My boss does this stupid promotion where we have to deliver pizzas in less than 5 minutes (only for small orders and being close by the store). One team was supposed to handle the deliveries that were definitely going to take more than 5 minutes, while I and another high school handled the fast delivery. However, I was forced to deliver the other team's pizzas as fast orders since our boss happily made an exception for them (since the pizzas we deliver are already made beforehand). To make things worse, the high schooler would not show up half the time, and I had to deliver his pizzas as well. Fortunately, I had never been late for these fast orders until three days ago. I had to deliver to four places that were close by. Two of them were absolute nightmares. The person who ordered was not on the ground floor, and I had to wait for him for 5 minutes for him to come down and finally give him his pizza. In the fast order policy, we explicitly tell our customers that they have to be at ground level. The other place was nearby the water, but I couldn't find the person for a while. I decided to call the person and she said she was on a boat. So after giving her pizza, I went back to the store and the boss told me that I was late. I threw the bag at his face and quit.
