The company going to hybrid after working fully remote for 3 years. I am the team lead of my department and my director has already hinted to me that I would need to take on my managers responsibility without any promotion or pay. Pretty much the company is expecting me to do all the extra work while they find a replacement and not compensate me at all. How can I go back at my director and tell him that I’m not willing to do the work if I’m not going to get compensated, or going to be selected as the next manager of my department? P.S. I’ve been turned down a different manager position in the past for the “lack of experience.”
