My manager just made me forge a license plate for a company vehicle.

So one of the companies pickups was missing a license plate from the rear. Its a 6m long flatbed so residential deliveries 7 days a week is going to end up giving the thing a few bumps and scrapes. Anyway in the past few days the license plate must have been broken off at some point without the driver realising. To “get it back on the road for a few days” because I am a sign maker/writer for the shop alongside my many other reponsibilities for £11 an hr and the only one able to today, I was told by the manager to make a new one. Bare in mind this guy is an asshole and would make the rest of my day hell if I didnt comply. So of course I have made it using the right font etc and fixed it to the vehicle.

If this comes back or the pickup gets pulled over would I be liable? Or would it be the company?

Edit: the numbers are the same etc it looks damn close to a legit plate.
