So I've been working in this bar since June or July last year. I was a waiter – food pass, drink pass etc. people liked me and all that. In January this year my manager offered me to put me into a cleaning team to supervise them. He strongly hinted that I'll get a pay rise (he was telling me he'll reward me if I'm doing a good job, asking how much I'm getting paid now etc.). Now this job is more difficult than waiting, so I waited two weeks, three weeks then I asked what's the story with the reward. He said he didn't have time to check, but he'll sort me out and that I shouldn't worry about this. Another month passed, another two and still no pay rise. I kinda just gave up and today I was casually chatting about this with other supervisor. He basically told me that that manager can't give me a pay rise, he's just not entitled to do so and the only people who can decide about pay rise are head managers who have no idea about the whole deal. So basically he lied to me to get me into this shitty job.
I am fucking raging. Im also mad at myself because I shouldn't have taken that job without a new supervisor contract, but also what the fuck.
