For the last couple weeks I’ve been wanting to ask for a raise but have been hesitant because I’m afraid I will be tasked and expected to do more out of my job description. Not too long ago I was expected to go to a weekend event and I declined. I was asked “why”. I said I had a family event and his response was “but it was on the calendar”. I just said I can’t. Needless to say I was upset and it left a very bad taste in my mouth.
