Antiwork

My manager won’t tell us what time we’re done for the day.

I work at a restaurant. Our schedules are made a couple of weeks in advance, but the software they use only shows us our start time, not our out time. The general manager prefers tell us what time she “hopes to let us go” once we’re already at work for the day. My coworkers seem to have accepted the system, but I find it infuriating and frankly demeaning. It makes it difficult to plan the rest of my life outside of work. I’ve voiced my concerns, but she doesn’t seem to care. I’ve never heard of a workplace doing this, is it the norm for anyone else?
