My mom has a masters degree and gets paid terrible wages

My mom has a masters degree in behavior science and is currently trying to get supervised hours to become a board certified. She wants to be a BCBA (board certified behavior analyst). She is currently a student BA. The company she is currently with pays her 18 an hour when she is working with a patient and gets paid minimum wage (14 an hour) when doing cleaning around the clinic. Her company doesn’t have paid time off or sick time either. I keep telling her that they are probably taking advantage of her. Idk all the details, is there any advice that I could share with her?
