I had a “nice” management job in a campaign and everything was going well… until they fired my boss. My ex boss was a great person who genuinely cared about her subordinates. She was unjustly fired and they placed some guy dumber than a bag of hammers to take her place. That was when everything went to shit. That guy slowly made us have more work while he was doing nothing and had no interest whatsoever in our well-being. After a few months the dude sends me a message to join a call. I join the call and he’s not there. There’s some other two guys and some people from other department. We are suddenly informed that the campaign was “overstaffed” and that the client had provided a list of people that wanted to lay off. Apparently including me even tho I was the only one from management. They said they cared about us (yeah right) and that they were going to find us a job in the same company but for another campaign. Of course I didn’t want to lose my job even tho I had already lost it. They called me for the other campaign and they offered less money and have to work 9 hours a day instead of the 8 I used to work in my other job.
I never signed a new contract nor a resignation letter. They just did this and sent me to another campaign to start from the bottom. As if I would look for this job willingly. Is nothing I want to do and I hate it. I’m very frustrated to see how this company does this constantly to their employees and I’m wondering of the legality of this action since it seems shady as fuck. I’m currently looking for another job but still I can’t afford being unemployed. This sucks and I’m not sure what to do. It just appears that they are doing all this so I will quit on my own instead of they firing me. Even when they took this decision and not me.
I just wanted to take this out of my system. Thank you for reading.
