I worked at the Papa Murphy's a mile away. There was a very cool manager who hired he, we was very chill and patient with us, one day I come into work and there's just an entirely new manager. Apparently my guy moved to Alaska. My new manager was the kind you'd see at a McDonald's. Stressed, inpatient, not on track of the employees, ect. Anyway I go on a vacation which was eight days of not getting payed. At the very end of my vacation I text my manager asking why I can't find my schedule and she texted me to come to work. I rode my bike there and she fired me right after finishing an interview (she simply said I wasn't fast enough). I realized I didn't see myself on the schedule for that entire week meaning she already made the choice beforehand, but waited until the very end to say something. I told her she can't just fire people after so many days off out of nowhere and I guess she's incapable of understanding other people's financial lives because she just tells me I wouldn't have been making income anyway? Anyway I'm working as a security guard now and I absolutely love this job. I am happy I got fired because this is a job I love working. My coworkers aren't a bunch of kids, they're very chill, there's no power struggle, it pays well, I'm actually serving a purpose and contributing to society rather than making sure people get their junk food on time, and they're very understanding of my time and money. All I'm really tryna get at is that fast food is a horrible career path and must absolutely be boycotted. My life is very good now.
