My parents just don’t get it

I just finished up my junior year in college and I’ll be moving back in with them for the summer. I’m taking an online class this summer to catch up on credits and my mom insisted I get a part time job at stop n shop or our local yacht club. Both listed starting pay at less than $15 so I’m already not going to work there. She then suggested I intern for my dad in his firm to get the office experience. We were in the car and didn’t finish the conversation but it’s yet another example of them frustrating me with work. It’s mostly my mom. My dad wants me to get my degree before I think about work, but when I told them I want to work for myself, they told me that I would have to have a lot of money to startup first. It’s like…

It’s mostly my mom. My dad wants me to get my degree before I think about work, but when I told them I want to work for myself, they told me that I would have to have a lot of money to startup first. It’s like they never listen because I was just listing out options like being a DJ or freelancer, who works by commission. I also plan to work as an Uber driver out of college while I look for my career, but I didn’t tell them yet
