My response to a rejection after a first interview.

I’ve been interviewing for the past 2 weeks and this was by far the worst one. In the interview, she told me to take my time answering questions after spending 10 minutes explaining the job, adding things that weren’t originally on the description. She then rushed me through answers saying “you’re getting into the weeds” and “I only have a limited amount of time” when I was simply trying to answer her regarding my employment history and why I left past jobs. Then she started pressuring me to accept a salary that was lower than what I expected, and I was like sure okay fine. After that she told me that they have 60 hr work weeks. It was the most chaotic interview I’ve had, and I contemplated withdrawing my application after that. She JUST tried to call me and left a voicemail saying she wanted to clarify things and…

Anyway, I have some other jobs in the works that are way more organized and chill, remote, and paying competitively. I’m glad I’m able to see red flags now!
