My son was working for a neighbor who got a estimate to mulch her yard for 4 grand and plant some trees. He agreed to work for 15 dollars an hour which also includes weeding and rectifying some stuff in the yard. He was at the end of his job for our neighbor and a older man down the road came over to our next door neighbors bbq and asked him to do his yard which should take about the same 30 hours to do with the client providing the mulch. He balked at my son and told him the best he could do would be 100 for the job or 5 dollars an hour. My son looked at little offended and told the other neighbor that he would not work for 1980 wages and that he only did it as a favor. Then he told him how much the estimate she had received. He looked floored and walked away. I’m glad my son is kind to help out and knows his worth.
