Soy wife, after getting fired for her last job because OSHA said they had to improve ventilation in her department so they shut the whole department down, started a new job making cabinets. The job has been going super well, and her supervisors even talked to her about promotion options.
Then this last month or so happened. It started with wife getting in a Thankfully minor accident at work(hand sucked into a machine, tore off half a nail and cracked her fingertip) and about a week recovery from that. Then she got a fever and sickness that led to bronchitis. She's still working on getting her breath back, and would repeatedly be sent home when her managers saw her out of breath, but they assured her that she was clearly showing a desire to work and not to worry, they understood. One day the HR talks to her, sends her home after just a sentence winds her.
Two hours later she gets a text message that she's fired.
Now they're starting to lose long time workers, because she was very well liked and they feel like the place, already struggling for help, shouldn't be firing good workers for things out of their control.
