Our work is doing an outing down a river for 4 hours. People are supposed to work 3 hours and then drive an hour for the trip and float down a river in 90 degree weather for 4 hours. We have been told if we go tubing then we get paid for the full day but if we don't go we are only paid 3 hours. I have melanoma and I cannot endure the sun this long but now I have to go 5 hours short this pay period. Is this legal? Michigan btw.
