My work just announced that due to inflation every single staff member would be getting monthly $1k bonuses through the end of the year.

They also are going to be taking inflation into consideration when reviewing our annual raises for 2023. To quote our CEO; “This issue was brought to our attention by many staff members reaching out to us and we realized we needed to address this immediately instead of waiting until the yearly review. Thank you to those who reached out for helping us stay aware of what we need to do to continue supporting you.” I would LOVE to name my place of work but we are a nonprofit with historic ties to a for-profit university and the university (of course ) is not interested in being as supportive to their staff. But I wanted to share because I’m ecstatic that there are organizations that are actually willing/want to invest in their staff. I almost started crying when the news was announced, and I know I’m not the only one. I…

I worked for a long time at other organizations that continuously took advantage, it feels so good to work in a place where I feel supported and appreciated.
