My work wants me to die.

We had some training today on what to do if there is ever an active shooter situation at our workplace. Finally, some useful training, because to be totally honest, I'm shocked that we have never had one. It's a high stress environment just from the work, but the management treats people just makes things worse. Anyway, it was good training, although also pretty much common sense. Get out of the area if you can, hide if you can't, fight if you have no other choice. But then the person doing the training read a statement that said we are not required to confront the shooter. He said that the union required that the statement be read and rolled his eyes. The only reason that union would want that statement read is because some one (not necessarily the guy doing the training) in management thought is should be a requirement. So…

So maybe show a little more respect to the employees that are potentially in the line of fire.
