Need advice about jumping through hoops for an employer

I have worked in my current job for 4 years. Excelled all targets, slightly changed role into more of a senior position around 9 months ago. There has been some changes within the company recently meaning there is a position available to essentially manage the team (I pretty much am doing the role without the pay at the moment). I feel like I'm having to jump through hoops and give them extra work for no guarantee I am going to get the position/pay rise. Do you think I'm right in saying that unless I get a guarantee that my pay will increase I'd prefer not to complete these tasks ? 2nd to that am…
