need some Job advice.

So recently I got skipped out of a well deserved promotion due to nepotism (the guy that got the managers position over me, his wife is a higher up at the company). So feeling like I got spit on I went and applied to a few new jobs, Landed the interview and they want me bad. I feel bad cause the workload at current job is nuts and my direct manager is one of the coolest guys here. But on the other hand I feel disrespected that they hid that much money from me and I feel like the VP will try to retiliate in some fashion.

Everyone I spoke too is telling me to skip town on my current job and don't look back. But I feel like they are biased cause they know me?

So I wanted to ask a bunch of strangers of what they think, cause I'm so confused upstairs.

Tldr: old job skipped me for promotion, found new job with better pay and benefits, old job salary matched but not benefits, old job wants me to stay, scared of vice president possible retaliation tactics. What do?
