Toxicity is all over the workplace, and its no different in the 3rd world country where I live. I consider myself very fortunate that my folks have managed to successfully open a business and this has allowed both me and my sister(the latter who is working under him for the moment)to escape this environment. Hopefully indefinitely, but at least for the time being.
I am what you would consider “NEET”. Formerly,I was getting paid just to accomplish a few essential chores around the house for minimum wage. That might not sound like much, but given that I did not have to spend whatsoever on essentials, the entire wage was play money that I could do whatever I wanted with. This coupled with my almost complete freedom made my occupation a very sweet deal. I went on for awhile like this…Until I started my fitness journey.
I've decided that since I've been “blessed” (For lack of a better term,I'm not religious) with such a free and very low stress environment,I have decided to take up a Weight loss and Fitness Journey. I did the former before and met with substantial success(before I put the weight back on)so I already had the formula for my diet. The only missing component now is the workout to go with it,and now I have implemented it in the form of weigh training. Next week,I will also add cardio and flexibility work as well.
Currently,I'm 5'9 ft and weigh 298 lbs. (Previously 306 lbs. Already down 7 lbs in 2 weeks! Same rate of initial weight loss as my initial attempt if you've read my link) I simply felt that the environment I'm in right now is the best time to get this life-long problem (I've been fat and out of shape almost my entire 27 years of life)handled. Stress and lack of sufficient sleep(which often comes from the 9-5 life)is often a major contributor for fucking up fitness journeys and fortunately,I'm currently living a life where neither are a problem. I cannot know if I will be indefinitely living this kind of life, and so I'm choosing to take advantage of it to the fullest rather than just relaxing and playing video games.
Any of you who are doing the same? Working out (as long as its done intelligently with a well-designed program and sufficient rest and good nutrition) actually feels pretty good! I'm glad I've decided to take this up.
My dad has currently withdrawn my pay in exchange for paying for my gym membership, but I'm totally fine with that right now honestly. Hopefully I could still convince him so I could save some dough, but my fitness comes first and foremost.
