New boss sends out nitpicky emails all day & my coworkers are about to quit

This new woman, we'll call her Karen, just started a week and a half ago. My only interaction with her was when she asked my name and wrote down my physical description. We only have 8 people in the office! Not that hard to remember. She never sat down with any of us. My coworkers were upset and joking about quitting all day but then one more email came through and my closest team member got really quiet. At that point I went to sit down with the big boss to tell her about the issues going on. I probably should've let it go but it was mainly my department that would've walked out together. We didn't have the power of the whole office to force change.

But if things don't change, I'm not stopping anyone.
