New contact sucks

Recently moved cross country for a full time job that ended up actually not having enough work for me. They decided for the next 4 months I'm part time because they can't afford me since they don't have enough work for me. I do get to keep all my full time benefits and this is a short term agreement, but I went from salary to daily pay. Recently moved cross country for a full time job that ended up actually not having enough work for me. They decided for the next 4 months I'm part time because they can't afford me since they don't have enough work for me. I do get to keep all my full time benefits and this is a short term agreement, but I went from salary to daily pay. Technically I get paid the same per day as when I was salary, but I work 2 weeks less now so I'm losing a significant amount of my salary.

I also have to be on call 1 week a month and asked if I would be paid over the weekend if I get a call and need to work. Most on call issues take me about 25-45 mins to fix and the most I've gotten have been 5 a day, but since I get paid per day, I figured I would get paid a full day salary for answering the phone. Which wasn't too bad.

They said no. I will not be paid for a full days work over the weekend because my daily weekday pay was 'calculated to include my on call hours' when they changed me from yearly salary to daily pay.

So any work over the weekend I'm on call is not paid because they 'paid me already'. Which I was not informed about until after I signed the contract. WTF? Is that allowed?
