I took somewhat of a chance and switched jobs. It's something I'm not exactly qualified for, but am definitely capable of doing.
Day 1 they introduce sick leave. I can call or text say I'm sick, get paid and answer no questions.
It dawned on me how crazy it had been that this is the first job I have ever had where this is a thing. We get 3 a month and they roll over if we don't use them.
Day 2 Vacation time with no requirements.
I think there are obviously more things I could be excited about but being able to rest being engraved in policy is amazing!
Is it strange that I'm excited about these things?
