Can you get PTO in New York State if you resign or do you need to give a 2 week notice? A coworker of mine gave a 2 week notice and called in to resign the following day and still received their PTO. I want to resign immediately (I can’t handle another 2 weeks there) but I want to make sure I still get that payout. Do I need to pretend about the 2 weeks and just quit the following day or can I just be upfront and resign in the moment and still get my payout?
