Nike forced me to pay them so I could make a return because I used an additional discount

I once worked at Nike years ago I think I was like 17-19. And my grandfather was in the military so I got a military discounts card since he was technically my legal guardian and I ended up using my Njke discount, with my Military discount on some shoes. Fast forward to a few weeks later. I decided to return the shoes and I was only seasonal so my employment was over at that time. One of the managers in training who took his job wayyy too seriously told me that employees whether current or former weren’t allowed to use other discounts on top of the employee discount so I couldn’t return my shoes unless I paid them back the money I got from the military discount. This man was dead set on not letting me return these shoes unless I paid this billion dollar company less than $10…I thought this was a wild story and something to share since I see so many people sharing their stories of companies trying to charge them
