Was in a manager meeting yesterday and we were told no one is getting a cost of living raise, no merit raise will match inflation, and no one is going to pay based on what it actually costs to live. Rent, food, gas, etc? Doesn't matter. Pay will not reflect that.
Companies really do not want to pay us to live. We're truly wasting our lives every day to survive and the companies we work for literally refuse to pay us what it costs to live. Whether it's because profits weren't high enough for it or because the top would take a cut… doesn't matter. We're just gears to keep things going and not people with lives.
