Like most of you, I too received an email stating so and so corporation has ended wfh and so will we.
And like you, my first thought was no, pay me more.
If the job is so important for you to watch me do, surely you can afford to pay me the difference in cost of doing it at your desk instead of mine?
I dont have another job lined up, i fully expect eventually i will have to return to an office or work setting away from my house.
But it wont be because you wanna be like da big boys.
And it sure as fuck wont be for free.
My ultimatum, pay me more, fire me, or let me continue to make you money.
But i will not be paying an extra $1500 a month out of pocket to continue doing the same job I have been doing for 2 years from home, with you breathing down my neck.
