I’ve worked at this place for 15 years, no raise only when minimum wages go up. Trying to keep off my main so it’s not pulled back to me.
Boss has been good to me because it’s a job nobody wants to do and to find someone else to do it would take her ages.
I’ve worked the same job 15 years and know how to do it efficient and quick. Lately (say 3 months) I’ve been told to do things this way an that way, they’ve told me the way I’m doing it should be impossible to finish how quick I do because of how much I have to do. Again, 15 years you create a rhythm etc.
Now she has started pulling me up on the most minimal mistakes or if the staff clean where I work after using it (I woke in a restaurant) and it’s not cleaned she pulls me up. I feel as though I am being threatens like a outsider even after 15 years.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to get fired or we argue enough to make me quit but I don’t want to have the last 15 years of my life be for nothing. Can I just ask for redundancy and for them to let me go?
I’m in the U.K. so I wouldn’t get anything if they fired me. Working there is making me ill and I’m just fed up. Quitting is something I don’t want to do because the way I’ve worked and not complained about anything for 15 years I believe I should be entitled to something or am I just being an entitled prick about it?
That make sense?
Tldr
Can I ask for redundancy because my job is something the boss would work and find a replacement eventually.
