We try to “work our wage” but we care too much (healthcare). We have lost 25% of our coworkers and there is a hiring freeze. An email was sent out Monday stating that overtime was not allowed unless approved by upper management. Guess who isn’t there for 3rd shift…? It took 2 days of 3rd shift leaving on time for management to DENY that they said that. Then go on to say if we are that backed up we need to stay … hello?
I love what I do. I make as much as a grocery cashier at a job that requires a BS. I work 50+ hours because I want to help. Don’t tell me I can’t work and then tell me I have to work when you have no idea what goes on in your facility. We run this business because we care about patients. You run this business for your bottom line.
