Was swapping stories with a friend in the UK and casually mentioned I have to watch how many hours I miss because I dont have sick leave or PTO.
He was aghast and asked me to repeat myself that. Then began the usual 20 questions: what do you do if you're in the hospital? Can you even afford the hospital? Is this why you're so burnt out?
I dont know how to answer this and I know there is no helping my situation at the moment. I just hate living check to check and getting embarrassed that I live in this capitalist hellscape.
