sorry for lack of punctuation and any grammar errors I'm the farthest thing from a writer but i had to vent what happened to me today from my work but i have context that needs to be said i love my job its easy i load tires into trucks for a living but lately lifes gotten a lot harder my dad's had major back surgery and has only been out of the hospital for like a week and he now is permanently unable to bend over or twist his back due to multiple pins and a plate in his lower lumbar he usually handled the mechanical issues for our vehicles with me being less mechanically able and more just a strong oaf the kind of person who you call when you need something heavy moved well with him not being able to bend over or get down on the ground any longer ive been trying my damn best to keep everything running through youtube tutorials and running in and out of the house describing what im looking at what the engines doing and him telling me whatever he can think of its a long tedious process with a lot of trial and error and ive been having trouble with all the upkeep of vehicles stacked on top of now being in charge of the renovations we had going around the house and working over 8 plus hours 5 days a week but today was special becuase i got suspended from work for the night becuase of my quote on quote no call no show it started when i had to go jump my dads suv which my mom took becuase her car isnt working at her job it was the third time that day and i guess it took a toll on my car becuase i had to bring it up to 2000 rpms just to jump the v6 and after it got jumped i noticed a kinda clicking noise coming from my engine and on the way home the car wasnt feelling like how it normally drives and with my work being a 45 minute drive half of which is on the express way i wasnt feeling confident in my car having being stranded due to car issues just a few weeks prior so i sent my boss a text at 6 3 hours before my shift started (my company requires at least a 2 hour notice before shift you cant make it) and i got no reply meanwhile im thinking well if im not going in i might as well get started on the vehicles to figure out whats wrong so i went bought a new battery for my dads suv replaced the battery and parked it to see if somthing was draining the battery overnight but it took awhile becuase his battery was setup different and had this metal bar i had to completly remove to even get the batter cover off so by that time i got done it was getting dark i cant see very well at night without a lot of light so i called it a night and would take a look at my car in the morning i was just getting settled down talking to my parents about what i did how much it cost all the good stuff and i text my brother in law that he will have to get a ride from the boss but he then tells me that my boss is out sick so no problem i call my boss but he doesnt answer so i try calling up at the front desk of the warehouse i work and its closed im like its whatever i already notified my immediate boss he can replay the info ive done my part but just to be sure i texted the two guys i carpool with that theyll need to get a ride into work and explain what happened when i texted and to relay that info if my boss already hasent all said and good i sit down to watch tv and my boss calls me saying hes on his way to pick me up and take me to work i tell him no thank you and that i need to be at home when the sun rises to get a early start on my car but i tell him as assurance that wether i found the issue or not id make the trip to work the very next night even if it killed my car i just wanted the cance to resovle it before it turned ito a much bigger issue but he then tells me ill get written up if i refuse becuase i have been given a option to get me to work even tho that option puts me in a enclosed space with a sick person for 45 minutes which he probably doesnt even know what it is becuase he just called in to day and was at work yesterday and i cant risk my dad getting sick the doctors specifically told him try try his best to avoid getting sick during his recovery and healing process and my mom has a weak immune system and no health insurance so i definatly dont want to get her sick but anouther worry was if i take his offer ill be a 45 minute drive from home with no way back my brother in law stupidly took him up on his offer and DID get stranded my boss dropped him off and never came to pick him up my sister had to drive 45 minutes with her 1 year old baby to go pick him up and take him home so now your thinking thats the end of it right not really i then get a text from my boss saying dont come in tommorow night your under a 1 day suspension im so ticked off just thinking about it ive been busting my ass trying to keep everyone happy at work and home but im a family man till the day im day and helping my parents will always take priority in my life i even told my boss in a week into my job after a small argument about how i prioritze my work life in quote god could float down from the heavens and stand before me and tell me my only way to salvation would be to ignore and abandon the needs of my family and id look at him and tell him to fuck off im getting exhuasted with more and more piling onto my plate we have alot more going on thats stressful in the family that i cant share due to personal reasons my boss knows whats all been going on due to me having to request a few days off every few weeks but i feel like they could have been alot more sympathetic to my situation im really trying hard and im highly stressed and tired and they dont seem to care even though they told me they cared about their employees my plans just to try to stay as calm about this as possible and request a meeting with onsite hr and my boss in the morning before we leave before i sign any sort of write up ive been written up before due to diffaculty controlling my anger but have always apologized and made a genuine effot to better my attitude and control my anger but this time i feel like this write ups extremly unfair as i was only given a single option that was full of risks
