I’ve always been an introverted person and I tend not to talk a lot unless I’m around familiar people. I’ve only started this job a month ago and already people are complaining and making comments about my lack of small talk and engagement with staff members.
For instance, I was asked why am
I so quiet by multiple people.
Sometimes I don’t want to talk I’m tired or just not in the mood.
Is it by force???
They look down on you if you don’t engage in small talk ask them about their day or what country their from etc.
One manger said I’m clearly not here to make friends and mentioned why don’t I talk much.
I just don’t want to talk or pretend that I’m interested when I’m not.
Any advice?
