I am 23 & graduated college in 2021. I went & worked for a popular rodent for a year & moved home because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next. Since then, i’ve gotten 3 part time jobs. One is consistent hours, one is entirely as needed, one is only Friday-Sunday if needed.
The Friday-Sunday job is a well paying job & relatively enjoyable, but my bosses suck and don’t ever schedule me unless they’re desperate. They aren’t nice & have never given me any support even when I ask, but seem to enjoy talking about me to other staff. I should say, this job can be done by any able bodied person. It’s genuinely just setting stuff up the way it’s already shown in a picture. They hired a 3rd person in my role who had more “experience” and started scheduling her over me & I ended up only working 3 times in the past 6 weeks.
I planned a trip out of state & requested the days off weeks ago, like seriously as soon as i booked my flights. Today, 2 weeks from my departure date, they deny my time off. Conveniently, I start a new job the day after I return from vacation. I live with my parents & while they’d like me to work more, I don’t NEED to and will be quitting after my shift this weekend.
