had an interview for a part-time position at a very large retailer & was scheduled to take place during a certain timeframe. after 20 mins of waiting, I reach out to the store. finally get ahold of the interviewer who tells me the position is for 5-8 hrs a week & pays .50 cents more than the minimum wage in my state. when I respectfully told her that I was looking for something a little higher, she says “well I don’t know how long you’ve lived in this state but that’s a very competitive wage.” and corporations are wondering why they can’t fill positions.
