Non Competing Act

Soooo I went through one week of training with a national lawn care company that rhymes with the phrase “bling bling” and ended up not showing up after my lunch break. Was there for one week, at the office the entire time going over videos on company policy and blah blah. Signed a lot of paperwork, including a do not compete act. I was at this company this year, legitimately for around 30 hours max. Never was out in the field or had any jands on training, no exposure to client databases or ANYTHING. I found a job on indeed that's paying $11 more per hour just to START and it has me highly interested in lawns suddenly and getting into the industry. My question is, would I be safe to apply with this other company, or would I be facing some sort of repercussions for joining?
