Second day on the job, power went out, On day shift. I was told not to report to work (scheduled 2nd shift).
They told us today that we have 3 options for the missed day.
-Take PTO
-Excused day no pay
-work tomorrow to make the hours up.
I'm scheduled to work Monday-Wednesday 12hrs.
I requested PTO and was told I couldn't use pto because I don't get it for 90 days.
So I can eithier take no pay.
Or work Thursday a scheduleded off day.
Maybe I'm over reaching. But I'm definitely flustered about having to work on an off day. How can they not pay me for an unplanned power outage that they told me to stay home for.
Thoughts. I have to report back soon.
