Office romance gone wrong. Do I have any legal recourse??

Well, let me start with the obvious: I fucked up and fell in love with a girl at work. My girlfriend used to date one of the longest tenured employees at my company, who was recently just promoted to a VP position. She dated him for around 4 years and things were pretty serious. Everyone at the company is out to get me. Calling me a scumbag. My asshole boss verbatim said that he would not be renewing my contract in February when it expires. Certain key guys at work are refusing to interact with me, making me pretty much useless. Although, I'd argue I can create enough revenue on my own to warrant renewing my contract.

Are they legally allowed to blackball me like this? There is ample documentation of them saying the things I've described. My boss keeps saying I “fucked over a made man” like we're in the fucking mafia. What can I do?
