Isn’t it crazy how all of these companies can suddenly pay above the $15 minimum wage that was being advocated for?
Chipotle is at a similar rate with a sign that says they have a path to earning 100K a year in 3 years time.
The simple answer is if these companies wanted to pay a living wage, they obviously can.
Corporations (small and large with few exceptions) are only here to break down the spirit of their workers so they believe they are not worth being well compensated in order to justify their egregious greed.
Working at the corporate level as a salaried employee is not much better. If anything it’s worse because there are no overtime protections.
